2017 NERRC Champion!
Just five days after returning from his spectacular performance at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 2017 SCCA Runoffs, Steve Introne and the #12 SRF3 showed up at Thompson Speedway for the final New England Road Racing Championship event. And he wrapped up a spectacular season by adding one more checkered flag to his total for the year with his win Saturday afternoon, as well as making his 2017 SRF3 NERRC Championship official!

Steve sets up for the pass as the #66 spins. He started from the back of the back for Saturday morning's race since he missed Friday's qualifying sessions.
2017 NERRC SRF3 CHAMPION
After 20 races at the four New England road-racing tracks (Palmer Motorsports Park, Thompson Speedway, Limerock Park and New Hampshire Motor Speedway), Steve accumulated 335 points, wining the SRF3 title. Second place, with 289 points went to Steve Owens, and Jeff Swann rounded out the podium in third with 221 points.

Record Setting Season
Overall, the 2017 season goes down as one of Steve's most successful. He wraps up the year with the following accomplishments:
8 WINS
Won his 4th NERRC Championship
2 second place and 2 third place finishes
Held 3 Track Records (Palmer, Thompson and Pocono)
Raced at two Formula 1 racetracks (COTA and Indianapolis Motor Speedway)
Finished 29th in the largest SCCA National Championship Runoffs field in history
As we look back, the entire Introne Racing team is both proud and exhausted! It was an exhilarating season, filled with plenty of highs, (a few lows), but ultimately a great year of racing. Steve already has plans for winter prep and maintenance to prepare the #12 for the 2018 season. There's never really an "off-season" - just more prep time before the next event!
And lastly, we want to extend a huge thanks to our 2017 sponsors:

Introne Communications

We could not do what we do without the support of these fabulous organizations!
See you in 2018!
