NER Triple Regional: TRIPLE WIN
In the last regional event before we pack up and head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, Steve and the #12 SRF GEN3 put on a dominant showing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH bringing home a Triple Crown win!
Three races and three checkered flags!

After the disappointment of the transmission failure at Thompson Speedway, Steve took advantage of a Friday test day to break in the newly built transmission and ensure the SRF3 was running smoothly. And it was. The Saturday morning qualifying session put Steve in the pole position for an 18-car field. The afternoon race had Steve leading from Green to Checker and collecting his first win for the weekend.
As the cars lined up on the grid Sunday morning for an early race start, Steve found himself in the 3rd spot - as two cars turned in a faster lap then him during the Saturday afternoon race. That didn't last long. A fantastic start, which was the talk of all the drivers post-race, launched Steve into the lead position, which he once again held through to the checkered flag.
It almost became routine. For the final race of the weekend, Steve returned to the pole position and led from start to finish as well then.
Steve led every lap, for three races straight.
Never crossing the line in anything but P1.

The racing was far from boring, as drivers Robert Reed and Pat Stringer did their best to challenge Steve throughout all three races. There was plenty of side-by-side racing as the two of them tried their hardest to knock him back a few positions.
As we close out the regular season, Steve wraps up one of his most successful years behind the wheel of the SRF3. He currently holds three track records at Palmer Motorsports Park, Pocono Raceway and Thompson Speedway, leads the NERRC Regional Series, and should claim that championship once the final results are in. His final Northeast Division total includes:
7 First-Place Finishes
2 Second-Place Finishes
1 Third-Place Finish
1 DNF (Pocono Raceway - axle failure)
All of this would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. A huge thanks to Inline Plastics Corp., Black Hog Brewing, Quality Auto Body, and Introne Communications for their backing and support this season.
NEXT STOP: Stay tuned as the team heads to Indianapolis and all the hard-core action of the SCCA Runoffs. With more than 103 SRF GEN3 cars already registered, it's going to be a championship event no one will want to miss!
